    Not necessarily... Depends on the bike though, and how its been looked after and serviced.

    I've put 50,000 on a 2011 cbr 125 :D

    I had a 2007 varadero 125. It had about 35000 on it by the time I sold it.

    Ask the owner what he used the bike for. If he was commuting on a motorway he was probably going full speed all the time which may not be great on the engine.

    let me ask you something.

    for 125cc 2 stroke aprilia is even 5k a lot.
    for 125cc 2 stroke TDR 15k is nothing.
    for 125cc 4 stroke varadero is 15k like a showroom condition
    for 125cc 4 s troke honda cbr is 15k nothing as well

    so can you provide more details about brand? in 2 strokes is very important what oil is being used and how they were carred for.
    4 stroke are not as much sensitive tho.

    50k on a 125? Did you need any/much engine work? I often wonder how long I'll get out of my 250. 18k miles, 2010.

    Keep fresh oil in the engine, observe factory oil change intervals and you will get long life out of most 4 stroke bikes.

    2 strokes (depending on machine) also means piston rings and seals too.

    I loved my 2 Aprillia RS250s,but I hated them too for that reason above.
