Looking for either a PS2 memory card with free mcboot on it or someone to copy it to a memory card for me. Looking to start building a Jap PS2 collection so seems like the route to go!

If someone has the ability to do this you can also put me down for one too :)

If your using free mcb without the hdd mod, you need to rip, patch & reburn your jap games onto dvdrs man :( If you have the network adapter & hdd, you just need to rip your jap games to the hdd & launch them

    Ah I didn't know that either :(

So if you want to play legit Japanese imports straight from their disc the only solutions are either a Jap PS2 or a mod chip?

Afaik thats it yeah :( the softmod is great, but unless you use the hdd mod in conjunction with it, its a lot of hassle.

I can do it if you're willing to cover postage costs, i.e. send the MC along with a small, stamped, self-addressed jiffy bag so I can post it back.

Hah! Yeah, as much as I'd love to have kept that, I already had a standard ps2 (which I couldn't get rid of for sentimental reasons) - I'm trying to get as clear from the 'multiples of the same console' club as I can!
