    How do,
I have an interview with a website building service on Thursday for a software testing role. I have a year's experience in QA in relation to a CAD Software Package. In that role I was taught the ins and outs of software testing for unreleased projects. I wrote the specification sheets to follow to weed out and check for bugs in each release. I automated these tests in Ranorex and kept all documentation in Jira.

I don't know what I could be in for thoguh on Thursday. My coding is quite limited. I know VB quite well although I think that might be irrelavant in this case. I have been learning C++ but haven't written any major projects with it yet. I know bits of C# from Ranorex. Python, etc. I haven't a clue about.

Does anyone know what an interview for a software tester for a website builder will consist of?

    Thanks.

Our software testers just, try every combination they can on the funcyionality if the software. No real programming skills needed, unless you want to write a script that will auto test the sites.

QA is the same in all software companies.

Get the specs from the BAs. If they aren't writing any you report that quality will be low.
Analyse the specs and get them to fix stuff which is confusing or missing.
Write test cases according to the specs, your experience and your imagination.
    Test.
    Report.
    Etc.

Don't get hung up on the technology. It's your mentality, attitude and professionalism which is most important.
