    Hi folks,
My dad needs to move to Vodafone as the signal is good where he lives, just wondering do you know what networks piggyback on the Vodafone network as it might be worth checking out their offers as prob better than vodafone, he is currently with meteor.

Just Postfone on Vodafone, Nobody piggying on Eircom, everyone else is on 3's network, ID, Virgin, 48, Tesco etc. 3 might still have a few sites with Vodafone but those are being wound down I think as they've an agreement to share infrastructure and costs with Eircom.

Cheers Ed. Thought there was more than that. I guess most of the others piggyback on Three, but their coverage outside dublin is poor, and has actually got worse since they took over o2.

    Important distinction:

Tesco and Lyca are on the old O2 (272-02) network only. ID and VM are on the actual Three (272-05) network.

Threes network is in two parts, so customers on the o2 network will have pretty god awful coverage while the 3 main network is pretty ok.

Just wondering if there are any more networks piggybacking on the Vodafone network, or is it still only Postfone that piggybacks on them?

    Unless its changed recently, yes.

Three have to allow MVNOs because they took over 02. Its more of a hobby for Vodafone and they'll never make it too affordable.
