Plenty of rumours going around of the hotel possibly coming under new ownership. It would be nice to have it open again. Anyone have any more concrete info?

FORMER Dublin footballer Bernard Brogan Snr is among a group of business people who have purchased the Setanta House Hotel in Celbridge, Co Kildare. The price has not been disclosed but it is believed to be more than €1.25m.

Others involved in the acquisition team are Jeff Leo Brogan and The Castle Hotel Group whose properties include The Castle Hotel on Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1. Bernard Brogan Snr is the father of Dublin footballers Bernard and Alan Brogan.

Set on a 6.5-acre site, the 7,432sqm Setanta House Hotel comes with 66 bedrooms, extensive banqueting and conference rooms as well as a lounge bar, two large function rooms, public bar, restaurant, breakfast room, three conference rooms, night club and cocktail bar.

Much work being done on hotel and grounds during July. The unauthorised extension at front left has been knocked down.

    Where exactly was this hotel?

Did it have a late bar/niteclub in it and is there any other late licenses in the village?

New to the area just finding out the various facilities around, thanks.

Thanks, I know where it is now. Had it a nightclub in it before?
Are there any late licenses in Celbridge at the moment or do people usually go to Maynooth or Dublin for a late drink?
