Has anyone tested either or both together ?

What are they like to peddle ?

They have the NuVinci N360 Harmony which is an automatic, you set the peddle speed and it adjusts the ratios automatically.

They are being paired more with electric bikes.

yeah have a gates belt drive, adjusting it at the start is a little fiddle but once I got that sorted it's been bullet proof (~1000km commuting)

Cool, was it a retrofit ?

no came on the bike, peddling efficiency I wouldn't notice much of a difference over a chain, it is smoother and quieter. no nuvinco here, but it's a serious piece of kit, but a little bit expensive and complicated for me.

Is it single speed then ?

I thought it was supposed to be maintenance free ?

yes single speed but I've run it with a 2 speed automatix as well, but didn't need the second gear in the end.

yes, so far no maintenance on the drive train. and no sign of any wear.
