Metal work

    This is a question for the metalworkers lurching here in the junior cert forum(even though there is a very little of us :(
    I really want to get an A but I want to know what is the probability,
    I did exceptionally good in my metal work project, my teacher said that it would a high B the least, It was all finished and functioned properly as well as polished.
    But the windows were to a C standards, but over all I also did the bumper and rear, etc.
    Now the problem lies in my day exam, I made a mistake, foolishly I decided after I was finished to spend my time polishing, there was still 20 mins left, So I went away, nice and calmly.
    6/8 minutes left I came and started assembling, after noticing it fits, but does not function :eek::eek:.
    How many marks do you think I will loose, like my day exam pieces most of them are good enough, while 2 are I would say C standards.
    So, how hard will I need to work in my theory exam and what is the probability, Is it very hard now to get an A ?? :confused:
    :mad::(:(

    I would be aiming for almost full marks in the theory in order to get the grade you want. The theory is very easy and with minimal study, 100% is possible. I got 95% in the mock.

    I heard that if you can't get the pieces working properly on the practical day exam, you don't lose many marks once all the pieces are together and all. I got mine barely functioning. :rolleyes:

    I better not lose most marks because mine isn't pretty. I never got to polish it because I spent the time trying to get it to work after I messed up, just slightly, one of the pieces and had to remake it so the whole thing would function.

    That's not true. Quite a few marks go for function.
