I was driving back from Corofin and I spotted petrol for 154.9 in petrol station just down the road from Supervalue in claregalway. Pretty good compared to statoils 159.9 in Galway.

Just to note for anyone that doesn't know, this is a card only petrol station. It's unattended and all pumps are automatic in that you pay 1st with card, then pump. Very useful setup actually.

Loads of places are 152.9 to 154.9. Usually get it in Ashbourne area, most filling stations there including the card only one (agree that these are fantastic, yet so few people use them) on the N2 are around 153.9.

If you want to post to pumps.ie to keep everyone informed, that would be really cool.

Also helps if people pay attention to it and actually shop at the cheapest one nearby to support them.

    +1 for this.

Whenever I see a petrol price post (thanks to the OP btw), I always assume everyone on BA is using Pumps.ie.

It's a really great resource and it's free. If you have a smart phone, get the app!

The more people that use it, the better.

I've no doubt that there's value to be had throughout the country, but not in Galway City or County.
We've been suffering from cartels here for years, especially with heating oil.
We're sick to the teeth of it.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up holdmybeer.

Petrol in Athenry area has not come down under 159.9 in months. And won't. Very very annoying. It's cheaper in Galway city
