Does anybody know of anywhere that will fix 12v/24v battery chargers? I have 2 that have been ruinned (both given on loan). 1 of them was left on boost for an extended period and another which was connected to wrong terminals and fuse had been replaced with copper wire.
Any help or direction would be appreciated.
I thought maybe a place specialising in alternators and starters maybe....

Clarke Electrical Rewinds in Drumconrath Co Meath would be worth a shout. They provide an excellant service, I've been in and out for 20 years and it's always straight talk, no messing. Not exceptionally cheap, but good.

You're probably looking for an electrical engineer or a domestic appliance repair person for this sort of thing, rather than someone who does alternators and starters.
Realistically, it's probably going to be more cost effective to bin them and buy new. :(

Sounds to me like the transformer is damaged in them. Won't be cheap to repair.
