Renault Clio - engine shuddering and white smoke/water from exhaust

    Hi there,
I've a Renault Clio 1.2 16v petrol that isn't running to well at the moment. I noticed an engine shudder in it earlier in the week but it has gotten progressively worse. Now there is steam/water droplets coming from the exhaust at ignition and in low gears.

Is the head gasket shot? If so, any idea how much it will cost for parts and labour to get it fixed? I'm in the Waterford city area if that helps.

    Thanks in advance

    Are you using coolant?

Sounds more like an ignition coil issue. Is your engine light on?
