Been a while since I posted.

Last time was when i build my d0 i7-920 rig i think!

Anyway, had a few upgrades to it over the past few years.

****ed out the msi mobo after a bios upgrade borked the board.

    On a asus p6t now.

In the last few months I've had a ram slot go - checked out the sticks and only the slot is dodgy ie. ram doesn't show in bios (cpu-z shows full amount)

And now lately, my sata3 & sata4 ports keep dropping ie. the hdds connected sometimes appear online but more often than not they arent showing as connected.

I pulled the pc apart and checked the connections and i can literally tug the cable and the sata connectors come loose from the mobo :(

They don't seem to click into place and I tried a different cable and different slots but 3 & 4 dont click.

    I kinda need them. lol. 2 * 1.5tb drives.

I thought it was the drives dying but defo the mobo at this stage.

Problem is, 1366 are hard to come by and expensive.

but if i go to upgrade, i need a cpu/mobo/ram and if I'm doing that, I might want a new ssd (intel g2 atm) and a new gpu (570gtx) & i game at 2560x1600)

so fine peeps of B&U, any ideas on the sata problem?
