Heading to cit in September going direct into 2nd year cause I am a quilified electrician but its been 5 years since I was in Fas. Just wondering if anyone here has just done 2nd year and could give me a heads up what I could be doin over the summer and if there is any good books or websites to look at and what i can expect from the maths so I won't be miles behind in September.

Find the email address of the lecturer(s) on the colleges website and email him/her about the books for the course, that should give you a nice taste of what to expect.

http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/ this should give you plenty of reading material in the meantime and seems to be a nice introduction to the basics of electrical engineering, the maths does look intimidating to me but have a look yourself and see if you need a refresher course.
