I'm not sure if a thread like this was done before.
Would it be possible to post the questions you were asked in your driving test?
I think it might be helpful to have an idea of the type of questions you can be asked :)
    All help appreciated

Here are the road signs. They have a sheet with all of them. You'll get asked about three signs. http://www.rulesoftheroad.ie/understanding-traffic-signs/index.html

    Also Gardai Hand Signals:http://www.rulesoftheroad.ie/accidents-gardai-and-penalties/assisting-gardai/signals.html

But my adi gave me more questions and Ive a book with questions.

The search function on this site is good. From another thread.

The Questions I was asked last week were.
    1. What does an amber light mean?
Ans: It means prepare to break and come to a stop unless doing so would involve harsh breaking which could endanger you or the traffic behind you.
    2. What does a continuous white line mean?
Ans: You may not cross it unless it is an emergency or for access. NOTE: Do not mention "not allowed to overtake" as you can overtake cyclists if safe, but you cant cross the line if the road is wide enough.
    3. Where can will you see a flashing red light?
    Ans: At train tracks.

    Thanks again HurtLocker!
That's the kind of thing I was talking about, posting the questions you were asked.
    I don't think I would've got the 3rd question :/
Thanks again and congrats if you passed!

Just to be clear the answer is:
STOP unless its unsafe to do so.

I wouldn't be using the word "prepare" at all.

I'd say both are right. I got no grade 1 or two error for my answer. My answer comes from the fact you can sometimes see an amber from a distance where you get ready to start breaking but wouldn't nesscarly but your foot on the brake the second you see it. Your answer is more concise and to the point.

I take your point but you need to be concise. Learners reading your post might think it just means get ready to stop. It's an answer I hear every week of the year. My answer wasn't meant to devalue yours just clarify it a little more ;-)

And not giving 1 answer incorrect wouldn't give you a grade 2

Can anyone upload the Garda hand signals and road signs links that HurtLocker posted above? The website is undergoing maintenance and it's unavailable to view. Just got my test date today and need to knuckle down to some study! Thanks.
