Replaced tyres, juddering steering wheel

I got tyres replaced on my car a few days ago, part worn but look to be in very good condition with lots of thread left. All was good for a few days but today I was on the motorway for the first time with the new tyres and once I got to around 90-10kmph I the steering wheel started juddering very noticeably.

I plan on bringing the car back to the garage tomorrow but I want to have some idea of what may be wrong - would this be a balancing issue?

Get the wheel balanced, problem solved.

Thanks Oldman - thats what I thought. The guy in the garage said he'd balance them after fitting - obviously didnt!

Balancing in the most likely issue, but its possible there is an issue with one of the tyres too.

Check the wheel nuts/studs are still tight.
Also, could be a couple of wires in the make up of the tyre have snapped, allowing a "bump" to form on the thread of the tyre. Especially if you hit a pot-hole or kerb.
Can be difficult to see without jacking up the wheel and spinning it by hand.

Thanks folks - couple of possible issues so. I'll bring it back in the morning to get checked out/balanced
