Just a heads up that there's a different breed of spam/phishing email doing the rounds.

It's supposedly a flight confirmation/e-ticket from American Airlines and it looks genuine. OH got one just now and we were worried enough to call the airline and check the bank account

The scammers are getting so clever with this kind of stuff, it's driving me nuts.

Phishing e-mails are a day to day thing in this day and age,

I reguarly get mails claiming to be from all sorts of company's, some can often look legit at first glance.

When in doubt visit the company's website directly and just check your details/account with them,

Sounds like a standard phishing email to be honest.

I appreciate what you're both saying but this was the most sophisticated one I had ever seen. I've had loads of spam/phishing emails so I'm pretty clued up. The husband has deleted it now so I can't get a screenshot of it but, believe me, it was good!

What was so convincing about it this one.
It sounds pretty limited as in it would have to catch someone who actually had a flight booked with that Airline.
Its always easy enough to see where the email is linking you to.
