The normal course of action if you don't agree with a moderator's action or direction is to try and resolve the issue via PM with that mod.

Have a read of this thread: and read under the heading: "What DOES this forum handle". Look at the third bullet point on the list.

    To summarise:
    • PM the mod to try and resolve amicably.
    • If that doesn't work, PM the CMod of the Category that the forum resides in. In this case, select any AH CMod from dr.bollocko, Micky Dolenz, Penn
    • If you are STILL unhappy about the decision of the CMod who would have reviewed the exchange of PMs between you and the mod in question, you then start a thread in here, and include as much relevant information as you can.
Just for the record, there are no active bans on your profile, and it is not possible to ban you from posting on individual threads without closing the thread - which prevents everyone from posting on it.

You were banned from After Hours on 03/06 until 06/06 but this ban has now expired and you are free to post in any public forum. Since you are not banned from anywhere, and the moderator already apologised for being off form, can you please clarify the nature of your complaint so we know which way to proceed?

    Thanks,

    -Shield

    Hi Shield,

I've already discussed this with darced at CMod level and upheld the mod decision, so he's looking for an admin review. A thread-ban was given (where a mod tells the poster not to post on that thread any more or a full ban will be given). Darced is disputing that mod action (and as it's not an official ban, I directed him here rather than the DR forum as it would fall under Moderator Issue/Admin Attention).

    Thanks.

Just to clarify, Super-Rush admitted he was wrong in the manner in which he worded the thread-ban, not the issuing of the thread-ban itself. And having reviewed it, I agreed with the issuing of the thread-ban.

And while thread-bans don't show up on your profile, thread-bans can still be issued. It's a moderator instruction, not an official sanction.

At this point, I'll leave it for admin review.

This issue relates to a thread-ban on a thread that is now locked, and the comments from a mod who has subsequently made a public apology and stepped down (for reasons not solely related).

There's nothing more to do here.
