    Hi,

I know lidl were selling air compressors lately. They are now out of stock. Would anyone recommend a make/model and where I could get one for home use, as i'm planning on spray painting my kitchen.

    Thanks for your help.

    Little me.

What kind of sprayer are you using?

If your spraying emulsion, an airless sprayer would be better!

Or is it the units your spraying?

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I'm planning on using it on my kitchen units, using a water based primer then paint. But I might end up using it on the walls too with emulsion, as its far cleaner and quicker than the old roller.
Would that be a problem? I thought the compressed air sprayer are better than the airless one???

I'm presuming your kitchen units are fitted, if so it would make no sense to use a sprayer on your walls. The amount of masking and covering you would have to do would negate any time you would save over using a roller.

You could remove the doors and drawers of your kitchen units and spray them In your shed. And roll the carcuss

Have you used a sprayer before?

Make sure you use the correct respirators!

No never before. Im beside Stillorgan decor, they probable sell a good respirator.

Any big difference between a 2HP and 3HP if its only going to be for domestic use and painting??

I wouldn't imagine there would be any great difference with what you are using them for.

Tread carefully, it could get messy!
