Anyone using prepar3d and if so how are you finding it. Are there many differences from FSX. Was thinking about getting the professional license.

Am I right in thinking that while microsoft have stopped supporting Fsx, lockheed are still updating the p3d software?

Also would I be able to use addons with it such as the pmdg 737 upgrade?

Don't bother, stick with FSX. PMDG won't be supporting it.

I just ported all my FSX stuff to Prepar3d. Everything works fine. Prepar3d V1.4 is way more stable and can exploit multi core processes, more than 4GB of memory and high end GPU's. I got sick of FSX crashing all the time.

Getting Prepar3D was like having my FSX 'pimped'.

Made the switch and got Airbus A320 Professional. I had Blackbox A330/340 for FSX/P3D so ill stick with that for the moment.

Had an issue with this strange flash on the screen every few seconds but sorted that with enabling triple buffering, also it was looking a bit soft and that was sorted also with deactivating rounding edges i think it was. So all good at the moment. Its seamless, not a single jolt or pause so far. Really impressed. If i'd have known the backstory to P3D and its relation to FSX i'd have changed a long time ago!

Still not going to invest too much into it as i imagine FS2020 will be the king.

Can anyone recommend a good AI Traffic package? I tried 2 for FSX and it always came back to World of AI being the best.

I think the worst i got was traffic 360, the textures were absolutely terrible.
