Blackrock Park Bandstand

    Some bowsies appear to have stolen all the metal from the roof of the bandstand in Blackrock Park. I noticed it the other day when passing through on the way to work - it certainly didn't look like it had been done by the health & safety brigade as it just seemed to have been ripped off.

    There's something about people who go about the country stealing large amounts of metal from public & private structures that just makes my blood boil.

    Really? That's the original bandstand dating back to Victorian times. :mad: :mad:

    That said, it (and the park at large) have been neglected by the council for so long that sadly it's no surprise. The recently announced plans of a scaled-back regeneration of the park is too little, too late. The bandstand should have been restored back during the Tiger years.
