Hi my appeal was today rejected despite a Clinical Psychologist, (the highest authority in the field of mental health) writing a strongly worded letter supporting my claim. I find it barely fathomable that some guy in an office , even if a medical doctor, can ignore what the former has said. I don't want to go into too much detail but I've been in contact with mental health professionals almost my entire adult life, (17 years) , the impact on my life has been huge, a medical professional has outlined this and yet they say I "am unsuitable for Disability Allowance".

They also never acknowledged correspondance and I didn't even receive the letter by post, only email after I complained. 7 of 20 days allowed for a final appeal have now passed as despite the letter being dated last week, I didn't receive it. I'm not sure what else I can do though, if someone in a room just isn't accepting the validity of my needs.

Is there solicitors out there with specialist knowledge or how could a solicitor help?

Can't sleep, too upset by this correspondance.:(
