    Hi Lads,

I was playing ball on Monday Night, but the ground was to hard which i had boots on, started to getting pains in the front of my Shin and felt like the legs were tighting up,

So i was meant to go for a 4 mile run on Tuesday i had to stop with the pain, and now again i only did 2km and had to stop out which i was meant to do 6 miles or 9.64 km.

has any one go any good Stretches that could relax the muscles in the shin which would allow me to run with out pain. or am i due a 1 week rest which would put my Training plains well behind schedule.

I had this issue for a while, i put it down to over use. I tried many different stretches available on youtube but didn't seem to help my problem. I got a decent pair of compression socks to wear while I wasn't running and the problem vanished within days and though I have stopped wearing them soon after, the problem has never returned and I run daily at least 5 miles.

+1 on the compression socks. When I started running first my legs used to get soar after running, wore the compression socks for a few months and hardly ever got soar legs afterwards. I still wear them sometimes for recovery runs after races or hard sessions. I did some stretches I found online but none seemed to ever work.

I'd say you could get them in any good sports shop their fairly popular. Or you could try online. Lidl and Aldi always have them any time they have running gear thats where I got mine :)
