Simple question really, I'm about to buy a Hybrid, Looked at Giant, Sirrus, Trek, Boardman, felt and one or two other. all in arounf the 1k mark. All seem very good but brand wise is one better then other.

At the 1k mark they should all be a fine bike.

brand wise, apart from Sirrus i knew all of them instantly, so you are searching for the right labels.

best thing to do is do a bit of extra research on what components you are getting on the bike, what gears, brakes, wheels, saddles you get for your cash.

don't just look and see "shimano gears". find out the name of the gears it is using. there are different levels of quality.

then if you can take it for a test spin. one might feel better "fit" than the other.

and make sure you like the look of it. you will want to use it more and clean it more often if you like the look of it. :)

Leaning toward the Giant, Although they all get good reviews, Giant seem have better back up and service facilities. Jesus some of them are stunning looking bikes I'd nearly leave the wife for one....

Picked out the giant rapid 1 @ 1,250e...

The guy said he would knock off 100e and throw in a few bit and pieces.

    It's a stunning bike.
