    With results coming out, I thought I'd clarify this comment.

    If you received this comment then you failed both the CA and written exam.

    you CAN repeat the written exam in august and still pass the module, you will however need to attain a grade high enough to compensate for the failure in the CA.

    For example:

    If your subject is 60/40 exam/ca and you got 0 marks in the CA.

    you can pass the module if you manage to get 70% in written exam as this will give you 42% overall.

    Depends on the course.

    In theory, the maximum compensation is 5%, (i.e. the absolute minimum mark in any one element of the module would be 35%) however I've always found that with my particular course, the above is in fact true.
