Indo App Top stories are non stories

    I got the Irish Independent App a few weeks ago and it seems that whoever is given the task of picking the Top Stories for the day are complete and utter morans.
    Today’s Top Stories are:

    1. Spain Vs Ireland : Ok it a friendly and it probably has some interest to people probably more Sports section.
    2. PAC chief travelling first class : Seems to be doing the rounds so also ok.
    3. Kenny and the Seanad : Fair enough Seanad hits back at Kennys plans for it.
    4. Robbie and Riahanna who’s the biggest diva : WTF
    5. Russell Brand has nine orgasms : WTF,
    6. Westlifes Filan stays in UK : ?
    7. O Gara goes on holidays to the Caribbean. Come on.
    8. Dunne to face creditors : A bit of Celtic Tiger Fapping.
    9. World oldest person dies : RIP
    10. Michelle Obama plans school trip in Dublin. Story leads to G8 Summit.

    So out of 10 stories 3 to maybe 4 are worthy of top stories which I would expect the Indo to have the rest is Rag rubbish.
    When you look at a match report for a game, do you think they will give you the final score, no way, that would be just thinking.

    I get the feeling that someone decided they needed an App to keep up with the way technology and media is going, but have put little thought into the delivery or quality of their content.

    I haven't used the Indo App, so I don't know if they also have a "most read" section along with their "top stories" a la BBC News. Any site/app that doesn't have a Most Read list, I've always assumed their Top Stories are based on the most read.

    And having worked with the general public long enough, it's safe to say that yes - they are complete and utter morons and the above list would make sense.
