Lawlor and Quinn were at war for a couple of days last week, think the war is over now, both quoting around €1.00 now.

Good luck getting 1.30 - 1 euro now leaving a slight profit at 2 euro for shearer. Got double for the wool last year to what i paid the shearer.

    That's fair expensive

Was charged 2 euro a sheep to shear sixty sheep and the wool weighed180 kg and it's making 1 euro a kg so happy enough so in profit by sixty euro

I bet you spent the day managing the operation? Not much there when you think about it that way!

Never make much out of wool here. Just one of those jobs that has to be done. Any Profit is an unexpected bonus. No disputing it's hard work but €3 is hard to justify, unless for small numbers or something like that.

€3. a head, tough work but come on... must be small numbers and tough sheep?

Was due to get mine done yesterday evening. Took time off work to get sheep in etc. Rang shearer then to find out he wasn't coming as he was delayed and wouldn't get to me in time. I can't do until Saturday now.
It will probably we raining then after 2 dry weeks

having sheds and to keep them in overnight is a major boon with us, shearer knows that we'll be ready to go as soon as he's here.
