Folding bike

I was in Holland last week and noticed a few people with folding bikes and thought to myself that one could come in handy.

It would be for occasional use i.e. throw in the boot when I bring the car for a service. If I leave the car in work overnight etc

I suppose because the use is so occasional, I don't want to spend that much. Maybe max 200 euro.

I'm 6ft 2 and 14 stone. Could anyone recommend a bike or even a bike model that's renowned for folding bikes ?

What wheel size should I choose ?

They mainly seem to have small wheels. Presume the way it goes is that the smaller the wheel size, the less space is taken up when folded.

Or are these folding bikes just a gimmick.

To Alcohol, why you selling it so :))))

Do the small wheels look a bit silly though ?

    What weight is it ?
Any pics of it when folded ?

add 250 more from your budget and you can get a brand new Dahon folding bike or a second hand Brompton from ebay, adverts or gumtree. Or avail of the bike to work scheme and get a brand new branded one 50% less of the cost.plus payment can be spread for 12 mos. at zero interest ( if your employer agrees with it ). Folding bikes are very handy, you can take them anywhere to work in a train, plane etc. You don't have to worry about bike locks as you will be carrying them with you inside a cafe or to your work place. The best compact fold is the Brompton. the basic ones start at 900..so you will pay 450 if you are on the bike scheme.
