it was obviously a wheelchair bus or similar at one time and now is not, the back bumper looks like its been filled / sprayed (pics 7 and 8) with a rattle can. probably covering up the mountings for ramps etc..

Is the bottom of the drivers door bubbling with rust?

I'm looking for a commercial that I can do the school run in as well. Any ideas? I hate the look of crew cabs - any other options?

How many seats do you need ? alot of the medium size vans have 3 front seats.

3 kids, wife, au pair, small business, I need space. I'm leaning toward a 10 seater minibus.. I think they are commercial?

Commercials have to have less then four seats.

How do crewcab vans work then I though they were taxed commercially.

You sure Ronnie? I thought for VRT purposes a 10 seater was commercial?

10 seater is a different driving licence category.

I know a 9 + driver minibus needs a DOE test, but an 8 + driver doesn't. But you do need an M licence to drive a 10 seat + minibus.

Not sure what the tax is, whether it's cheaper than normal or not.

9 Seat Transporter / Vito and take the rear row of seats out? 3 up front, 3 in the middle row and a massive load area at the back. Road tax is either engine size or emissions though, depending on when it was registered.

For VRT the rate would be the same. Minbuses with ten plus seats are in the same VRT category as commercials. http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/vrt/revised-vehicle-classification.html

I thought you meant you wanted to tax it as a goods vehicle.

How do you explain the LandRover Discovery Utility? 5 Seat, N1 type approved commercial vehicle. Generally taxed privately, despite being a commercial.

Sorry, you can have more than four seats. I was thinking about taxing it as a van where you have too have less than four seats. Four or more it has to be a crewcab.

Get a LandRover Defender pre-2008. 6 Seats (3 front 3 middle) and a big boot or tray (130)

    M is for Mopeds, it's D1 for a 10 seater
