    What are you looking for? Voltage, wattage, LED, cfl etc

    Screw in round ones (non clip) very expensive to buy in the shops at times. Got two the other day for €4.50

    if its a normal es gls bulb 60/100 watt, they cost approx a euro in an electrical wholesalers.

    ye, you can get the same bulb with different name for 4,50 if you prefer philips ;) Now all bulbs come from china ;)

    i wouldn't buy any 230v items from a pound shop for reasons of quality and safety

    There's all sorts of junk masquerading under famous brand names these days and which are made in China.

    Not mentioning any specific companies but most of those British electrical appliance brand names which were famous for quality and robustness in the 1960s were all snapped up 'off the shelf' and they now appear on appliances manufactured in sweat shops in China.

    Anyway, the worst that can happen a light bulb is that the filament melts and it stops working, are you expecting it to burn the house down?

    but the dangerous junk is more likely to find it's way to the discount stores ime
