Protective Plastic Baked onto Window Frames

    Hi all,

I need to remove the manufacturers plastic that is on my windows. I did not remove it in time so its now near impossible. Windows were fitted during the winter and frost and strong sun has the plastic totally baked onto the the frame. It's gone all broken and brittle and just impossible to remove. So far I have tried WD40 (needs a stanley blade to do the work and is pretty useless in any case. risk of damaging frame with blade is high :(). heat gun (melts the plastic and makes it possible to remove but your still trying to remove molten plastic so far from ideal, can melt the frame also if not careful ).

Is there any chemical I can use? Or anything at all? Also if anyone knows of a company who do this please let me know - getting very frustrated with this now so anything considered. Any help appreciated

    Small pressure washer ??
Should get under the plastic and can't damage the frames..

Try if a hair dryer will soften the plastic (make it less brittle) and make it any easier to peel ?
