    Hi guys,

Does anyone know how I can contact Intel in Leixlip to get a written reference letter for a former employee?

    Thanks!

Have you asked the ex-employee? They should know...

Yes, He is the one that is looking for the reference, but can't remember - it's been a while.

Contact their HR department. They have a central database of all employees and they can track down which department a person worked in and who used to manage them.

All employees when they leave complete an exit interview so even if a former manager has left a reference will still be possible.

Maybe I am not making it clear - I can not find any details online for Intel Ireland HR department.

I might just be looking in the wrong place - does anyone have these contact details?

Can you drop a mail to Intel's HQ? They might be able to point you in the right direction.

Alternatively - does the ex-employee have contact details for their last manager. You should be able to get a ref that way too. It'll probably be more personalised than the one you'll get from HR anyway. All the HR will tell you is the dates the employee worked there, and their job title at the time they left.

The main switchboard will be able to give you the generic HR email address.

I used to work there and it's their policy to never give written references. They will give a reference over the phone but it will only give the bare details i.e. X worked here for x amount of time.

The former employee shoudl try contacting them for a certificate of service.

As a former employee I have done this.

Just ring the main line and ask for HR. HR can post you a letter confirming you worked there and in what role. It's only the bare details though. They don't provide a personal written reference. If you're fortunate enough that a previous supervisor/engineer still works there that knows you, they can normally write a personal reference. HTH.
