I recently put a new mobo and CPU into my pc, I've been having problems getting it to work so I decided to put my old hardware back in. I put it back in and I get a red CPU led. Nothing is coming up on the screen no sound from the mobo fans are working, it also shuts down after a few mins.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like you aren't connecting things properly since neither board + cpu worked.

Did you connect both mainboard power connections? There are 2.

Did you connect the graphics card power connections?

Download and run Belarc advisor, it will find your key if you had Win 7 installed & activated already.
