You could try to DD him. There's apparently a good few guys in trouble with concetion rates/submission rates and some of them may not be willing to throw their hat at A.I. for this year yet. If they needed a teaser in a months time they could buy a strong weanling and get him done but they need one now so you might get a bit of a premium for him.

You'd be the first guy in history in trouble because a bull wasn't firing blanks:D

I've a teaser to get rid of myself. I got him blooded in the annual herd test this week. Might keep him for a few weeks yet to spot repeats.

always factory mine just under the 2 yr mark and either get steer or young bull price ... beats having him over another winter considering he doesnt get to work until may ... imo the cost of vasect is covered by the increase in carcase grade and fce

I thought all bulls over 2 years had to be done. I was blooding 2 cows so decided to do him too. Never asked vet, if he had to be done.

Under the Brucellosis Eradication Scheme, the animals which require to be tested in the Annual Round are female animals aged 24 months or more and bulls aged 24 months or more.

When is a 'bull' a bull.....?

I don't think it matters if he's not used for breeding as such. Will a teaser not spread brucellosis in the same way?
