Can someone please shine a light on this.

I had Lasek Eye Surgery two and a half years ago, needless to say it was not a success! I am back wearing Glasses.I bought some contacts(same prescription as my glasses) to my surprise, everything it blurry!

Before I had my HORRIBLE laser eye surgery, wearing contacts was not a problem!! again the prescription was the same as my glasses!

As Magic Marker said go get your eyes tested. LASEK changes the shape of your cornea and the lenses probably don't fit correctly

I asked the rotten Bastard of a surgery, if the surgery fails, will I still be able to wear contacts "YES" he replied,so confidently!!

I may never be able to wear contacts again???

Not necessarily but you will need to be refitted with them. So go somewhere, explain about the surgery and get fitted with a different type of contact lens.

Where did you get your surgery done?

Sounds like they made a bit of a mess of it.

Do you not have a life time guarantee from your surgeon? I had it done recently and am delighted with the results other than dryness. They told me that if my sight ever regressed I could have it done again for free.

    Hi.

Yes I was giving the option of getting it done again, But I was told it will regress within fives years!!! I am not willing to go trough all that pain, for only five years! Also the chance of Glare, night vision and dry eye is higher!!

"Dryness" how long have You had dry eye??

    What was your prescription ?

Pain? Did you have LASEK? I had LASIK and there was no pain.

My prescription was -5.5 and -5.75. I'm now more than 20/20 in 1 eye and have a slight under-correction in the other so am now a -1. I don't even notice it. I will go back and have it redone in a few months but my vision is absolutely fine now.

I had it done 6 weeks ago and still have dryness first thing in the morning and when using the computer. I use drops about 3/4 times per day but I don't mind, putting in the drops isn't exactly a big job, it takes less than a second!

Yeah LASEK. I am glad You are happy. Pre Laser, I was +4.50,there in lays the problem! higher risk of regression . I was told because of my age, chance of regression very slim!!!

When will the dry eye subside???
