Hi guys, I know this is a while in advance. Me and my mates aren't going on holiday this year so we're thinking about Ibiza next year and we're thinking of booking our flights in November or sometime around that. So was just wondering has anyone here booked their flights around then and if so how much will they be?

    Cheers in advance :)

Edited: Forgot to mention, we're gonna book them around winter time for next July!

    :)

Best I can tell the earliest for booking with planes seems to be on average 6 months in advance for spots like this .Many airlines will look the summer 2013 results to see if it is worth doing the run again in 2014 .So some airlines will drop all or some of the flights and other airlines will increase some traffic or decide to try those new routes if they see competition decrease or see the traffic is increasing .

Flight to Ibiza in winter are nearly non existent and in summer its chock a block with planes landing taking off

Probably will be Jan 2014 before you can book

Alternatively If you can organize some 200 other people to go the same time you can charter hire a whole aircraft and reduce average flight price for each seat to about €50 to €100 euros each way for each passenger .However it can go pear shaped real fast if the fuel prices spike and could easy jump to €200 per head each way as fuel is at least ~25% of the ticket price for modern planes and if you got old clapped out Russian thing is more like 50%. of the costs .
Lots of German university have experience to hire planes as they got big numbers to get planes full.germans tend to plan well in advance and tend to follow the herd more easily.Trying to get 200 Irish to go anywhere at the same time and get them to pay uip 6 months in advance which is standard requirement for these projects is more like herding cats sod all chance
You got a year to plan it give you something to do in the summer time and winter time .Its not really more complicated than a charter hire of bus from Dublin to Kerry just the numbers have to be bigger and the cash has to paid up months in advance .That is where the numbers fall out takes place real quick and the German universities have block booked all the excess planes buy December 2013

Aer Lingus will probably have 2014 summer on sale in November, they tend to have some good prices for early bookers. Ryanair will likely be a little lather but they are always more expensive to start with. Package holiday flights will be on sale over the next few weeks so you may get a good deal if you booked in November.

We booked Faro with Aer lingus last November for travelling this July. Today the same flights are well over a 1000 dearer for the four of us.
    Hope this helps
