Thinking of spraying these alloys Matt Black but I've never seen it done on a Polo except on the internet. I've got the paint but only a drop of grey primer left, is it vital on alloys?
Anyhow these are them so tell me what you think I should do..

It's advisable to primer them first but not absolutely necessary. Just make sure the wheels are completely clean and free from brake dust, oil/grease etc etc and get some scotch brite pads and key the entire surface of the wheels before painting.

PlastiDp them instead. You'll get the Matte blakc look but it's completely reversible and peels right off!

I know that completely Matt Black looks tacky so if I left the edges of the alloys silver and went over them with Chrome Paint would that be any better?
