    Hi Folks,

Just a quick one for you all,

Is the Brennanstown Dolmen still in situ? or has it been destroyed?

There is a lot of work going on up there and for some reason it doesn't seem to show up in Google Earth.

Well done spotting the common lizard Maudi!I've never seen one myself despite me living quite close to the Bog of Allen.I know this is not a natural history forum(and apologies to the Mods. in advance),but I know just how you feel;last Wednesday night I saw my first Pine Marten and I felt elated - it's a great feeling! My advice is to report your sighting to the National Biodiversity Data Centre - see this link: http://records.biodiversityireland.ie/index.php

If nothing else,it may help to protect these little critters in this area in the future.

I'm glad to hear the Dolmen is okay too - I was getting a tad worried for a moment!

Again, apologies to the moderators for the slight diversion.

It gets better thanks to this wonderful dolmen ..when i took my eyes off the lizard they landed on a common frog (not rare true but still ...)then my five year old looks up and says dad whats that?it was only a kite over head getting harrassed by crows..and i have photos of it all (except lizard too fast) thanks cfuser.

    Cheers Maudi,

Also I wouldn't mind seeing the Kite pics as we live near a good area that is hunted by several nesting pairs of Buzzards.
