Flight UAL126 flying very low 35km west of Dub Airport

Was just out doing some gardening and heard odd jet engine noise....sounded like a jet revving up higher than normal and closer too. I'm about 35km west of Dublin airport and the plane flew over moments ago, WAY lower than normal and not sounding normal either. I quickly checked flightradar24 and it is United Airlines UAL126 Boeing 757 from Dallas, I think. I was tracking the plane about 30 seconds after it passed over me and at that stage, flightradar said it was only at 1600 feet....surely way too low for something about 30 from the airport? I'm at 300 feet and a nearby hill is at 500 feet, in the path of the plane. Anyone know if something is up with this?

Looks like it was a false alarm....by the way, I grew up in Baldoyle, not far from the airport and the plane that flew over was flying lower than what I was used to flying over in Baldoyle when planes were on the eastern approach. The plane was just above the cloud base level as it flew into a few cumulus clouds and going by the looks of things, the cloudbase is about/under 2000 feet

    Not far off 2300ft.

Wasn't too bad a guess at all!!! So would this be unusual for a plane this far from its landing point? The unusual engine noises too were a bit concerning but probably nothing to be actually worried about.

The replay shows it was widen out for space and extra miles. Yes it is normal enough to have them joining 20-25 miles out. Especially if there is a number or arrivals.

The extra noise is from the plane having a mid stage flap out and flying slow and level. To compensate for the extra drag from the flaps the engines are producing more thrust.
