I managed to get a rubber boot liner(HERE) and a load protector(HERE) when I was buying my Passat, works out to about €450 of savings as I needed to get these anyway (two dogs).

A set of proper mud flaps fitted and fitted mats these should not be too hard to get. Then you could try for tax or petrol.

They'll usually fill (or close to fill) a new car with fuel anyway in my experience. Mats are often standard in new cars too.

Try for a first free service or a year's road tax.

Proper moulded flaps, tailored mats, boot protector and plenty of go go juice.

Most dealers wont have a problem with any of those.

Most things like free service/tank of fuel etc..cost them some money so they can be reluctant to part with cash (I know its only tiny compared to cost of the car! but you know how dealers work!).....

So if the old reliables won't work, try:

Extend the warranty by 6 (or 12) months...costs them nothing up front and if they refuse - tell them "sure if you say the car is that good then an extra 6 months on a warranty won't cost you!!)....

Voucher for discount off a service (or free courtesy car) is also worth a try - means you will give them business in the future (but you get it at a discount)..kinda win-win!!

The 2 above worked for me!

Think of things that won't hit them for real cash (they don't get a discount on tax for example - it really is like them giving you a cash discount) but you might value!

    " WHISKEY!! "

Who is the guy you know? Fr. Jack?

That wouldn't bother me. What would is if they fixed a dealer badge to the boot.

Just out of curiosty, how many of the things that people asked for, did they get on their last buy.

    I asked for...

NCT to be done before bought. Got
Warranty extended from 3 to 6 months. Got
    Petrol. €25 voucher
    Free Service. No
    Tax. No.
