Can anyone recommend a good Ear, Nose & Throat specialist? (chronic sinus problems)

Any help would be appreciated. A sentence or two of background on me: for YEARS now (15 +) I've had post-nasal drip and nasal congestion. No dietary intervention can get rid of it.

I've never been given any kind of proper diagnosis. The last time I visited my GP he said some people are just like that, but I only saw him for 5 minutes, he didn't realise the extent of the problem. I can't go 20 minutes without having to spit up mucus (it's pretty gross).

I wonder is this some kind of genetic thing?

I'd like to be armed with some knowledge before I go to my GP or an ENT specialist. I have a medical card--but if I can get better treatment by paying and going private I'd do it.

    While googling, I found this.

"Adenoid infection may cause symptoms such as excessive*mucus*production, which can be treated by its removal. Studies have shown that adenoid regrowth occurs in as many as 20% of the cases after removal."

I wonder could that be part of the problem?

Hi searcher1. I had my adenoids out very recently and have had symptoms like you are experiencing, as well as a lot of ear problems. However, it still hasn't cleared my problem up, yet anyway. I'd definitely recommend seeing an ENT. I can PM you the name of mine if you wish.

I had this from age 16, and acupuncture really helped. In my late 40's while investigating the cause of my long term depression, I was found to have histadelia (high histamine) I now take specific daily doses of vitamins and no more sinus, skin rash issues. My dx was a bit late age wise, so was only able to halve my depression meds. I hope this helps, sinus trouble is very debilitating.
