Track spike alternative: xc spikes or lighter flats?

    Which would be better for something short on the track? 800m or so.

    Brooks Mach 13 spikes or Asics Piranha Sp3 flats?

    I would have thought spikes but the Asics are a good bit lighter. Are the spikes still a much better bet?
