    Hi,

Please excuse my wariness, but generally if you need to ask that question, perhaps you shouldn't be purchasing them. If you can be more specific I'm sure you will receive an answer.

    Keep well

Asking for a Doctor , she can't source them from any local Pharmacy...don't want them for myself or the organisation I'm involved with.

"It's not for me, it's for a friend".... A Doctor you say, Yeah right mate.

This must be one of the strangest/disturbing questions I seen in the ES threads in quite some time.

If it's for a practicing doctor then they should be aware of recent changes regarding minijets, every reputable pharmacy certainly would be as they would be suppliers.
Now I would wonder why a pharmacy hasn't or wouldn't remind or pass on this very important information to a practicing doctor.

Also not all cardiac arrest resuscitation drugs came in minijet form, but surely a practicing doctor would know that??

In broad terms, in the interest of information -

The packaging methods have changes twice this year, so specifically looking for minijets may be the issue, they don't always exist. prefilled syringes may take their place.

I have doubts regarding the statements about a pharmacy not being able to supply, my experience of pharmacies is that they use a common online ordering system, with common suppliers and appear to be able to supply anything which is legally prescribable.

I also doubt that any qualified medical doctor would have the slightest difficulty in acquiring these medicines whether as a GP via local pharmacy, or in hospital via hospital pharmacy, in general they aren't even expensive, just very controlled like all POM's.

I am very surprised that a doctor cannot source simple medication like this . I am also very surprised that he would share their lack of understanding of the POM and emergant medicians with a bystander or lay person and that you have been put or feel you have been put in a position to have to ask this question on a publuc forum like this .
