Have been really suffering for months now,Got diagnosed two months ago with candida overgrowth and have been on a diet and taking supplements since. The diagnoisis wasn't satisfying for me though as it was done by just me telling my symptoms and showing my tounge.

I have major problems in my gut and I want to be tested for candida, gut fermentation, parasites etc.I read Dr John Mckennas book and I knew he was the man I needed to get rid of this, but in accordance with my luck I found out he has retired.

There must be another like him in Ireland who can preform the required tests and treat me in accordance?I need to get this problem sorted is its really affecting my life.

All advice is very much appreciated.

I thought I read somewhere (maybe here?) that his daughter was now working instead?

I went down the candida route when first diagnosed with ME nearly 20 years ago. I had taken long-term antibiotics for acne along with antibiotics for sore throats and urinary symptoms and my ME symptoms also matched the ones listed for Candida. Persuaded doctor to prescribe Nizoral - then read it could be toxic and switched to Nystatin powder for many months (up to a year?) (yeuch!), various supplements (e.g. garlic), strict diet (very strict initially and then gradually introduced things like some fruit). Unfortunately didn't make too much difference to me personally.

Does she specialise in the same things as he did?Ill try get in touch and see,I just want to be tested and not just sit and talk to some alternative health practitioner give their two cents when there could be an underlying issue.

Afraid I don't know. Searching this forum for "McKenna" shows various results that could be of use - might be worth looking through if you don't get a good reply here. All the best.
