    Hi,

I am about to take the plunge and move from windows to Mac.

I will be buying and Imac and a MacBook Pro.

I already have a wireless network at home.

Will I be able to use Time Machine to backup both machines to a NAS?

    Thanks,

Some NAS boxes are supported out of the box. Others may require some work arounds to get them to work, ofcourse Apple only officially support the time capsule or a Mac Server, and work arounds won't necessarily give you the seamless experience.

I was thinking of going down the Time Capsule route, but, I live in a bungalow and the house is quite spread out. It took me a while to find a router that gave good wireless coverage all over the house.

My concern is that the Time Capsule will not reach where MacBook is being used.

I have been looking at this, connecting it directly to the iMac and use file sharing for the MacBook time machine to backup to it.
