Hes had a pretty decent start to the season after a pretty good season last year aswell where he got up safely inside the top 32 to 25th. Hes already qualified for Wuxi and Australia and narrowly lost to a rejuvenated Mark Williams in the first ptc event. Has he got one last push up the rankings left in him I wonder?

he could if he keeps playing the way he has.

sustaining it until march/april next year to get to the crucible will be a real challenge

Yes, absolutely, is there 15 players playing better than him at the moment ?

I would like to think so but it is a big ask.

IT would be great to have an Irish player in the top 16 again and who better than ken

There's probably 15 better than him in China alone.:)

On the two year ranking list Ken is currently ranked 27th, just under two thousand points off a top 20 place and a further 8,000 pts off a top 16 place. However the rankings are due to be replaced by a money list and with Ken reaching the last 16 in Bulgaria and qualifying for the first two ranking events of the season his chances of a return to the top 16 are as good as ever.

Ken lost today to Alan McManus in the first round of the Wuxi Classic. It's hard to see him being consistent enough to get back into the top 16.

    Doesn't help alright. :(

Nice to see Jimmy White getting through though.

Davy Moriss into the last 32 and has a very winnable match against Gerrard Greene.

He had a nice little break of 138 en route.

Good to see Davey Morris winning. Ken is on the slide again.

I agree I dont think Ken has the consistency anymore, good to see Davy Morris make the last 8 of Wuxi and beating Ali Carter too impressively.
