Petunia or not?

Last year i bought loads of flowers, I 'think' the flower below was labelled Petunia and has seeded itself this year and is really nice and bushy. If it grows like last year it's going to be really spectacular again.



However the below is what i've grown this grear from seed packets labelled Petunia and matches up more with what i'm seeing for sale as Petunia so I'm guessing the first one is something else.



Anyone know what exactly it is?

Was it hard to grown the petunias from seed?Just I have heard they can be difficult to grown from seed and has always put me off growing them.

I tried two different packs this year, one pack not a single one grew. From the other, a few poked their heads up, and then promptly died. I'm not an expert gardener but I managed to grow plenty of other plants

The seeds are like dust. You can get coated ones to make them easier to plant and grow on ebay where I got them from.
