Guys, heading to Madrid in a couple of weeks for work and intend on hanging on for a few days afterwards to do some sightseeing as I haven't been to Madrid before.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a nice hotel, central or nice area, with decent metro access ? My budget will be say from 100 - 180 euros a night.. Your help is appreciated ! Thanks..

Hotel Moderno, you really can't get any more central as it's right in puerta del sol. Have stayed there twice and it's a very nice hotel and also very reasonable on price.

A few years back, we stayed in the Hotel Husa Paseo del Arte for a week. It's close to Puerta da Atocha train station as well as all the famous galleries. We really liked it, the rooms were nice, it had a good breakfast and we thought it had a great location.

I stayed in the Vincci Via 66 2 years ago and really liked it.
