    Black is preferred by most.

I read somewhere that white and green plastic doesn't preserve the bales as good as black. One farmer said he went with all green wrap one year and never again.

and what about preventing crows from tearing at them. i helped grease 200 bales for my boyfriend and it worked for the first day but then tey started at them. i was tinking maybe plastic bags on cords- they r noisy and cud frighten the birds. its a very quiet spot, on reflection we shud do 1 field at a time.

I think all that crack about colour is pure bull. Doesn't matter what colour it is if you put a hole in it handling them, but oh no the most logical thing to some lads is to blame the colour of the plastic!! Like WTF!!

I've had them every colour and the ones that turned out ****e were the ones the I tried to make silage out of sh*t or caught and didn't patch right.

This year I've green ones and green and black (a roll of green and a roll of black on wrapper).... I'I post a few pics next winter to show lads how to make silage with green plastic :pac:
