I'm considering moving into Recruitment. I have some previous experience working in a Recruitment department for a large multinational when I was younger.

Can I ask readers on here what are the pros and cons?

Pros: it's a sales job, so if you like sales you will like working as a recruiter.

Cons: it's an industry which is struggling at the moment, so you will probably be under a bit of pressure...

If you are going to do it, try and get in with an agency that hires for the Pharma and med device sectors. Volume is pretty good there again. Personally I don't see any Pro's, Its not a job I would consider. It does suit some people though and there is money to be made if you are good and with the right agency.

Maaaaannny years and a different country (Scotland) when I was considering it. I was told 60/70 hour weeks were not uncommon. FWIW.

Why would you sell yourself to the Devil?

Many people have been treated decently and have gotten jobs via recruiters.
