I'm in the market for a new dslr and need help deciding what one is best. i have my mind set on either a canon 550D or 650D and cant decide. I also need to get a flashgun. I want it to have video as well.

I'm starting college in September doing photography and want a camera that will do it and hopefully onto work after college. Currently have a Nikon D60 and feel I've gone as far as i'm going to go with it.

I'm open to other suggestions as i don't know too much about dslr's(yet).

Very little between 550d and 650d TBH, if you have Nikon glass might be better moving on to a better Nikon?

Very slight difference in iso performance too but in my experience iso 1600 plus is basically unusable on that sensor. You could always wait and see the new 70d to see what the sensor is like. The xx0d will share it in all likely hood

Wouldn't have the money to go for the 70d I'm afraid. I'd like to sort out a new camera as soon as possible. I'm leaning towards the 650d
