Insurance after an accident

Wrote the car off by rear ending someone last week. Cat C write off from a 30-40km/h colision. I reckon between my car and any damage to the other which was minimal the settlement will be in or around 12k

My question is for anyone else that had to claim how much did your insurance go up. I know it will be different for everyone but looking for a rough guide before deciding on what to get next. I have a full license 2 years and had 2 years NCB which would have been 3 next month with step back but I presume I lose all that so will be left with no NCB.

Just looking for a rough guide. Was paying €850 on an Alfa GT. Next step is finding out what they'll pay out on it.

    You'll lose your ncb?

My wife crashed my car 2 years ago and wrote it off.
I had full NCB protection, and thank to this my insurance didn't go up at all. Next year's premium was actually about 20% lower than previous.

There'll almost certainly be at least one personal injury claim on top of that. Have you asked your insurance company how much they're likely to charge next year?
